Rym Khene is a multidisciplinary artist, editor, writer, and researcher. Her work is rooted in exiled geographies and explores the memory of cities, the traces, both apparent and unseen, of their dwellers.

She holds a Doctorate in Comparative Literature and her current research focuses on literary and photographic representations of the city. She has published texts and photographs in different magazines and collective books. With Khalid Lyamlahy, she published J’ai rencontré un cheval de mer (Photographs by Rym Khene, Text by Khalid Lyamlahy, Éditions la place, Bruxelles) in November 2022. Her more recent book, Alger, de mémoires en devenir (Éditions Honoré Champion, Paris) came out in March 2025.
